Spiritual Exploration (Formally RE)

We offer a diverse program for school-aged children K-8 during the school year. Nursery care for pre-K children is provided in the parlors throughout the year by Valerie.

“My child is enjoying her time in class on Sundays.  I feel it so vital in the world we live in today to have our children be connected to such a loving church community. Thank you for revitalizing these classes and enriching our children with such wonderful studies.” A parent

Children’s Chapel Schedule

K-3 Group: The children are introduced into the UU principals through yoga, mindfulness, creative arts, music, community service, and connection to the Natural world. The children will meet every week on one of the above topics with one or more RE facilitators.

CWTKR (4th-6th): Children have further development and exploration of UU principals and beginning community service. Children will start to be involved in church service once a month (eg. Greeting/offering/introit etc.) Change The World Kids will be facilitating one week a month, teaching children about community service and helping them get involved in some of their projects. The children will meet every week on relative topics with one or more RE facilitators.

CTWK-UU (7-8): Middle School age children are encouraged to join Change The World Kids. In addition, we will work in an intergenerational way to further teach the children about the Unitarian Universalist faith and have them participate in services in a meaningful, individual way. e.g. accompanying the choir with instrumentals, working with our minister to prepare thoughtful Chalice Lighting Words or Opening/Closing Words and such.

CHaD Hero: Run4Ryland

Its that time of year again – we will be preparing for the CHaD Hero’s 5K. The North Chapel SE program will be putting together a team to run/walk for the Run4Ryland team.

Registration is $50 per person with a fundraising minimum of $75 per person. We will be looking for ways between now and the race to help the children raise these funds and to help educate the children on why we run and raise funds for this very worthwhile cause.

Scholarships are available to help cover the registration fee, if needed. Please contact Geraldine at the church office.
