The Amazing Grays will gather on Sunday, January 14, from 11:30 to 1:00 in the parlors.
To start off 2018, Dov Taylor will join us to discuss Ethical Wills. An ethical will is a personal document that you can create to communicate your values, experiences, and life lessons to your family. This type of Will is purely voluntary. It is designed to pass on things like guiding principles, memories, spiritual values, and wishes for your family’s future. Some describe them as “windows into the soul.” As part of our gathering we will have an opportunity to think about what we might include in our own ethical wills. Please bring paper and pen.
Everyone who consider themselves “older” are welcome. Gray hair is not a requirement.
The Amazing Grays gather once a month to share our thoughts and feelings about getting older and to support one another. We strive to create an environment of safety and trust, to provide a time of quiet as well as a time of sharing, to speak from our own experience, to listen to others with our hearts without judgment, discussion, dialog, question asking, problem-solving or “fixing,” and to treat everything shared as completely confidential.

Circle Dinner Saturday, January 20th
It’s that time of year again, the time to gather together for pot luck dinners, having more time to get to know each other more personally. Tell Pru at church or 457-1137 if you would like to host or simply just attend. It’s always the best food and best conversations.
This fall we began to show the groundbreaking series called “Belief”. Told through the stories of individuals, we’ll learn about many of the religions of the world. It is produced and narrated by Oprah and is beautifully filmed and thought-provoking.
On January 21st, the Belief series will continue with stories titled “A Change is Gonna Come.” You’ll watch a young woman soldier transform into a nun in India, a 15 year old girl of the Apache tribe take on a difficult task in the “Sunrise Ceremony”, and a father and daughter who have lost half their family go to a place in Nevada “where you can transform yourself even when all hope is lost.”
The series will continue on the third Sundays of the month. Mark your calendars, please. It will certainly be worth your time.
