North Chapel Events and Activities

Study Group About Buddhism’s Eightfold Path

The Eightfold Path Study group will meet after service on April 2 from 11:30-1:00 in The Chapel. We begin promptly at 11:30, talk quietly for an hour, and then those who wish to do so can leave. The rest of us will meditate for 20 minutes.

Community Conversation

The North Chapel Board welcomes you to join in one of the upcoming community conversations we’ve scheduled.  The time seems right for us to gather as a community, so that we can check in with one another about how things are going at the North Chapel. In particular, the board wants to discuss some exciting new outreach initiatives in SE, which have the potential to bring our rich SE programs to the broader community, especially to those in need.  We also want to provide an update on the planned building renovations and improvements and efforts to fund those projects.  Finally, we want to open up space for discussion about the North Chapel’s role in this challenging time in the larger world. (We can’t be sure that the Search Committee will have news to share at this time about a candidate, but we will be able to answer questions any one has about where things stand in the search process.)

Please join us in the parlors for one of these discussions:

Sunday, April 2, following the service, 11:30-1:00  (bring a bag lunch—or eat heartily at coffee hour!)

Monday, April 3, 11:30-1:00  (bring a bag lunch)

Since then, they’ve released a dozen albums and have spent their summers singing everywhere from in backyards to stadiums. Their ongoing repertoire runs the gamut from rock to folk to jazz to ballads. Alumni of the group (now entering its 23rd season) include writers, performers and producers of such TV shows as Glee!, The Sing-Off and the Pitch Perfect movies. More info:

Amazing Grays

The Amazing Grays will gather Sunday, April 9, 11:30-1:00 in the North Chapel parlors.

The Amazing Grays gather once a month to share our thoughts and feelings about getting older and support one another in our process. We strive to create an environment of safety and trust, to provide a time of quiet as well as a time of sharing, to speak from our own experience, to listen to others with our hearts without judgment, discussion, dialog, question asking, problem-solving or “fixing,” and to treat everything shared as completely confidential.

All are welcome.
